SFAS PT is a cash-based model and does not accept insurance.

Patients will receive a comprehensive evaluation to assist you in returning to pain free activity. Health savings account cards, credit card, cash, or check accepted. Time and expenses can be saved under this model that requires less visits than traditional insurance-based PT depending upon the condition. We treat the client as a whole and are not held to strict rules of treating one isolated body part. In traditional clinics, Physical therapists often see 15 or more people per day, which means they simply can’t provide the same quality of care as SFAS PT given our ability to have 30-60 minute sessions with each person. Reimbursement is possible, but clients should be aware that insurance companies dedicate a lot of resources to auditing and denying claims so there is a chance that they will not receive reimbursement. In a study comparing traditional insurance based models versus cash based models the average number of visits per episode of care was 8. Authors report that a similar study conducted with patients in a traditional insurance-based model identified a visit average of 7.3.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Patients pay for treatment at the time of service using Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), credit card, cash or check.

Can I use my Insurance to pay for your PT services?

No, we do not accept insurance at this time. However, we can provide you with an invoice that can be submitted to your insurance for partial reimburse.

Do I need a referral?

At this time yes you will need to provide me with a referral.

Why the direct pay model?

Many patients’ co-pays are anywhere from $30-50 per visit, and traditional in-network clinics might see those patients three times per week. But if you see a patient once per week the patient isn’t really paying more and is saving trips to the clinic.

How many visits will I need?

Each patient’s needs are different. Some patients come in weekly for 4-6 sessions, while others return on an as needed basis for a checkup or revision of plan. 

What should I wear?

Please bring shorts, t-shirt, and athletic shoes to your session if possible.
